James Monroe Cross Country Makes History

The James Monroe High School cross country team made history on Saturday when both the boys’ and girls’ teams made it to the state meet. This was the first time this had ever happened.

For a small school like James Monroe that has only been running cross country for a few years, this is a huge accomplishment. Both the coaches and the players put in a lot of hard work, which shows in how well the team does.

The programme has been built from the ground up by head coach Lorie Broyles, and the athletes have responded with great work. The girls’ team came in third at the regional meet this season, and the boys’ team came in second.

The success of the team also shows how much the people of James Monroe care about them. The students, parents, and staff have all been very supportive of the cross country team. Their enthusiasm has helped make the school a good place for the athletes to be.

We can all learn a lot from the James Monroe cross country team. They have shown that if you work hard and set your mind on something, you can do it. We hope they do well at the state meet!

For the first time ever, both the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams made it to the state meet. How does that make you feel?

A: It’s a great feeling. The coaches and athletes have worked so hard this season, and I’m so proud of them. It really paid off.

What do you think have been the team’s most important strengths this season James Monroe cross country?

A: I believe that working together and being dedicated to our goals have been the main factors in our success. The athletes have helped each other a lot and pushed each other to do their best. In practise, they’ve also worked really hard.

What do you think the team will do well at the state meet?

A: My hopes are high, but I’m also realistic. It’s clear that the athletes are going to give it their all. It’s likely that they’ll finish in the top 10, which would make me very happy. I’m proud of them just for making it to the state meet, though, even if they don’t do very well.
